Eagle River District Camping Chair: Peter Leyden
Leave No Trace: All units are familiar with "policing the campsite" before heading home from their camping experiences. All units should begin now to take it to the next level. Become Leave No Trace(LNT) trained. LNT training is now available for both adults and youth. and there are varying levels of training available. Anyone, and everyone, can and should do it, especially the youth. Besides LNT requirements being added to first and second class rank advancements, being a LNT Trainer is an official youth leadership position. Youth must be 14 yrs old or older. For more information, contact Mike Sietsema, Eagle River District LNT Trainer.
Ready to think Summer?? Cub Scout units should start thinking about it. Cub Scout resident camps, such as Kiwanis, Fred C Andersen, Stearns, and Phillippo, start accepting reservations on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
Health forms: Updated health forms are available for 2011. Forms can be found on the council's camping forms and resources page. Click on the link at the top of this page to access.
Physical Examinations are required annually for all boy scouts and adults, regardless of age.
Reminder: When attending any Council-sponsored event or resident camp, make copies of health forms to turn in. Health forms are NOT returned at the end of council events. Be sure the unit keeps the original.
