Eagle River District Klondike is coming Feb. 5-7, 2010. The activities are planned for Saturday, Feb. 6. However, units wishing to do some winter camping will be able to camp Fri. 2/5 and/or Sat. 2/6.

CUB PACKS: Register now for Polar Cubs winter day camp. There are two great locations to pick from - Phillippo Scout Reservation(near Cannon Falls, MN) and Camp Greenwood(near Buffalo, MN). Register now to get the dates you want. Polar Cubs camps run through the first weekend of March.
Northern Star Council's "Star Camp" Centennial Jamboree: we know the dates - May 21-23, 2010. We know the location - Stearns Scout Camp. We also know that all other Northern Star Council camps will be CLOSED that weekend. The rest of the details are still being planned, but we can expect one grand celebration for the 100th annivesary of Boy Scouts of America and Northern Star Council. NO DISTRICT EVENTS WILL BE SCHEDULED DURING THIS TIME. All Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews should have THIS event on their calendar as their primary May outing. Cub Scouts are invited to join in the fun for the day on Saturday, May 22. Registration will open in February. Exact date is TBD.
CUB PACKS please note that registrations for 2010 Summer Resident Camps will open Monday, January 4, 2010.
Health forms: The new health forms are available. Effective Jan. 1, 2010, only the new health forms will be accepted. Forms can be found on the council's camping forms and resources page. Click on the link at the top of this page to access.
Also new for 2010: Physical Examinations will be required annually for all boy scouts and adults, regardless of age, instead of every three years as was past policy for those under age 40.
